iPhone 16 Pro Max could feature the best camera among smartphones thanks to the latest sensor from Sony.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with the advanced 48-megapixel Sony IMX903 sensor for its main camera. It features a multi-layered structure for enhanced efficiency, a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for high-quality image transmission, and digital gain control (DCG) to optimize dynamic range and reduce noise.
Additionally, an insider on Weibo has confirmed an increase in the size of the main sensor by 12% for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The new sensor will be approximately 1/1.14 inches compared to the current 1/1.28-inch sensors in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models. This upgrade will improve background blur and low-light performance due to the increased light-capturing area.
In addition to camera improvements, the insider briefly mentioned a modest design update. This will include a larger curvature of the display, which began with the iPhone 15 series. It was also noted that the iPhone 16 Pro models will maintain the same thickness as their predecessors.
The iPhone 16 lineup is expected to be released in early fall 2024, following Apple's traditional release schedule. Stay tuned to our Telegram channel for more details on this upcoming release.
