A detailed buying guide: how to choose a plastering machine.
This section presents plastering stations for automatically mixing, pumping and spraying gypsum and cement dry mixes onto walls and ceilings. The stations are used for machine plastering, screeding and filler work by construction companies, finishing crews and contractors. A plastering station speeds up the work several times compared with manual application and ensures consistent mix quality and an even layer. Construction mixers, concrete mixers, paint sprayers and compressors are found in other sections.
Screw-type (stator-rotor) plastering stations suit gypsum and cement plasters, adhesives and self-levelling compounds, while mortar pumps work with ready-mixed mortar. Small sites need about 10–25 l/min output, while large volumes call for 30–60 l/min or more. See what is performance or output.
Mortar delivery pressure is usually 20–40 bar, allowing the mix to be pumped about 15–50 m horizontally and 10–20 m vertically depending on the mix and hose diameter (usually 25 or 35 mm). A pressure gauge and pressure protection prevent blockages and hose bursts. Read what is working pressure.
Most stations run on a 380–400 V three-phase supply with a total power of about 5–8 kW, while light models use a 220–230 V single-phase supply. Check the site supply, cable cross-section and plug type, and when working from a generator choose one with a power margin. See how to choose sockets, plugs, extension leads and power strips.
Spraying requires a built-in or external compressor delivering about 200–300 l/min, and the water supply must provide a stable pressure of about 2.5 bar or more or work through a water pump. The air hose and connectors must match the spray gun. Read how to choose an air compressor and how to choose an air hose and connectors.
Wear safety glasses, gloves and a respirator, as dry mix is dusty and alkaline. Never disconnect hoses or couplings under pressure, and switch off the power and release the pressure before servicing. See how to choose personal protective equipment and how to choose a respirator.
After each job thoroughly wash the mixing chamber, pump and hoses, as hardened mortar ruins the stator and rotor. The stator-rotor pair, mixing shaft and seals are wear parts, so prefer models for which spare parts are available. Read how to choose spare parts for light construction equipment and which spare parts and service kits are replaced during preventive maintenance.
At ToolsArmenia you can compare plastering stations by output, delivery pressure and distance, power supply and mix type and choose the right station for your projects.
