Glue Guns

The melting temperature must suit both the hot-melt adhesive and the workpiece material. Some tools use a fixed or self-regulating temperature, while others offer adjustment. Heat-up time indicates how long the tool takes to reach a stable working temperature after switch-on. Fast warm-up is useful for short repair jobs, while temperature stability matters for longer sessions. See the heat-up time and duty comparison.

When using different adhesives or heat-sensitive materials, check for temperature adjustment, self-regulating PTC heating, or other manufacturer-specified thermal control. Molten adhesive and the metal nozzle can reach temperatures capable of causing burns. Place the tool on a stable heat-resistant support, do not leave it unattended, keep it away from flammable materials, and unplug it before maintenance.
