A detailed buying guide: how to choose dielectric gloves.
Dielectric gloves and boots (overshoes) are made of insulating rubber and protect against electric shock. They are mandatory for electricians, power engineers and electrical maintenance.
Under EN 60903 class 00 is up to 500 V, class 0 up to 1000 V, and higher classes for high voltage.
Overshoes go over normal footwear up to 1000 V, while boots are for work near high voltage.
Wear leather protectors over dielectric gloves so the rubber is not damaged.
Gloves must let you hold tools, and boots must go on without strain.
Dielectric equipment is rated by maximum voltage and must be periodically tested. Read how to read PPE markings, standards and replacement requirements.
Store rubber equipment in a dark, dry place with talc and do not fold it.
At ToolsArmenia you can choose dielectric gloves and boots by voltage class, type, size and testing.
