Cordless Pressure Washers: for Cars, Bicycles and Garden Cleaning

Cordless Pressure Washers

A detailed buying guide: how to choose a cordless pressure washer.

This section covers cordless pressure washers in the 18–20 V, 36–40 V and 2×18 V classes — both compact models that draw water from a bucket or container and washers connected to a water supply. They are used to clean cars, bicycles, garden furniture, paving, windows, tools and equipment. With no cable you can work in the garden, at a country house, on the road and on site without a socket. For choosing mains-powered washers, read how to choose an electric pressure washer.

What to consider when choosing a cordless pressure washer

Type and purpose

Compact gun-style washers are light and handy for quick car and bike cleaning, while wheeled models have a more powerful pump for paving and larger surfaces. Check the pump type and material. See pressure washer pump and motor types.

Pressure and flow rate

Compact cordless models usually deliver 20–40 bar, 36–40 V models 70–110 bar, with a flow rate of 120–350 l/h. Pressure determines how well dirt is removed, while flow rate determines cleaning speed. Read what is working pressure and what is performance or output.

Water supply

Most cordless models can self-prime and draw water from a bucket, barrel or container through a hose with a filter, which is convenient where there is no mains water. The suction hose length and filter matter. See how to connect a pressure washer to a water supply.

Nozzles and accessories

Models with an adjustable jet or several nozzles (0°, 15°, 25°, 40°) let you choose gentle or intensive cleaning, and a foam bottle lets you apply detergent. Also check the high-pressure hose length. Read how to choose pressure washer nozzles and accessories.

Voltage and battery capacity

A pressure washer drains batteries quickly, so 4–5 Ah batteries are preferable for 18–20 V models, giving about 15–25 minutes of work. For high-pressure 36–40 V models, keep a spare battery. See cordless tool voltage (V) and battery capacity (Ah).

Platform and kit contents

If you already use garden or construction tools on the same platform, a body-only version saves money. For a first purchase, choose a kit with a battery and a fast charger. Read what is a unified battery platform and how to choose a battery and charger.

Motor

Brushless models use battery power more efficiently and run longer, while brushed models are more affordable for occasional cleaning. See brushed and brushless motor.

Safety and maintenance

Never aim the jet at people, animals, electrical equipment or the battery, and do not use a narrow jet near tyres or soft surfaces. In winter, drain water from the pump so it does not freeze. Read how to use cordless tools safely and how to use and maintain a pressure washer safely.

At ToolsArmenia you can compare cordless pressure washers by pressure, flow rate, water supply method, voltage and nozzles and choose the right model for your needs.
