Cordless Table Saws: Benchtop Models 18–60 V

Cordless Table Saws: Benchtop Models 18–60 V

Cordless Table Saws

A detailed buying guide: how to choose a cordless table saw.

This section covers cordless table saws — compact benchtop saws at 18–20 V, 2×18 V (36 V), 40 V and 54–60 V with 165–255 mm blades. They are designed for ripping and cross-cutting boards, chipboard, OSB, plywood and laminate on site, during furniture installation, flooring and interior finishing. With no cable, the saw can run on any floor or job site without an extension lead. For table saws in general, read how to choose a table saw.

What to consider when choosing a cordless table saw

Cutting depth and bevel angle

Models with 165–190 mm blades cut up to about 45–55 mm, while 210–255 mm blades handle 60–80 mm stock. Blade tilt up to 45° is needed for angled joints. See circular saw cutting depth, bevel angle, and guide system.

Table, fence and rip capacity

Table size, rip-fence accuracy and maximum rip width matter, typically 400–600 mm on compact models. A sliding table extension and a mitre gauge make cutting large sheets easier.

Saw blade

For ripping, choose a 24–40 tooth blade, and for clean cuts in laminate and chipboard a 48–60 tooth blade. A thin-kerf blade uses less energy and increases the number of cuts per charge. See how to choose a circular saw blade and how to choose saw-blade tooth count.

Battery voltage and capacity

18–20 V models suit thin materials and short cuts, while 36–60 V holds up under load in hardwood and long rip cuts. A 5–8 Ah battery is recommended for this work. Read cordless tool voltage (V) and battery capacity (Ah).

Platform and kit contents

Table saws are often sold body-only, so choose the platform whose batteries you already own. Check whether the blade, fences and push stick are included. See what is a unified battery platform and how to choose a battery and charger.

Brushless motor

A brushless motor uses the battery more efficiently, holds speed under load and needs no maintenance. Electronic soft start reduces the jolt at switch-on. Read what is a brushless motor.

Safety

Check for a blade guard, riving knife, anti-kickback pawls and an electric brake. Feed narrow pieces with a push stick and wear safety glasses and hearing protection. See what is kickback control and how to work safely with stationary machines.

At ToolsArmenia you can compare cordless table saws by voltage, blade diameter, cutting depth, rip capacity and weight and choose the right model for your job site.
