Cordless Grease Guns: 12–20 V Models for Machinery Service

Cordless Grease Guns: 12–20 V Models for Machinery Service

Cordless Grease Guns

A detailed buying guide: how to choose a cordless grease gun.

This section covers cordless grease guns for delivering grease under pressure into joints, bearings, pivots and kingpins when servicing vehicles, agricultural and construction machinery and industrial equipment. The category includes 12 V and 18–20 V models, and working without a cable or compressor lets you service machinery right in the field or on site. For choosing mechanic tools, read how to choose hand tools for automotive and mechanical service.

What to consider when choosing a cordless grease gun

Type and purpose

Compact models are sufficient for household and hobby vehicle service, while fleets and farms are better served by professional models with high output and a long flexible hose. See differences between professional and household power tools.

Working pressure

Cordless grease guns generate about 400–700 bar, enough to clear clogged grease fittings. For daily service 400–550 bar is sufficient; for heavy machinery choose 600 bar or more. Read what is working pressure.

Cartridge, filling and hose

Standard models take a 400 g cartridge, bulk fill or suction fill from a container. Flexible hose length is usually 0.7–1.2 m, and the coupler must match the grease fitting type. See how to check consumable compatibility with a tool.

Output and control

Grease delivery is usually 100–300 g/min; two speeds let you choose high pressure or fast filling. LED lighting and an empty-cartridge indicator are useful. Read what is performance or output.

Battery voltage and capacity

12 V models are light and suit small volumes, while 18–20 V grease guns deliver higher pressure and output. A 2–5 Ah battery usually empties several cartridges per charge. See cordless tool voltage (V) and battery capacity (Ah).

Platform and kit contents

If your workshop already uses a particular battery system, a body-only version reduces cost. Check whether the kit includes a battery, charger, case and shoulder strap. Read what is a unified battery platform.

Weight and ergonomics

With a battery and a full cartridge, grease guns weigh about 3–5 kg, so balance, a shoulder strap and a hose holder matter. One-handed control is convenient when working under machinery. See tool ergonomics, weight, and safety systems.

Safe operation

A high-pressure jet can injure skin, so never point the coupler at your body, check the hose for damage and wear gloves. Read how to use cordless tools safely and how to choose work gloves.

At ToolsArmenia you can compare cordless grease guns by voltage, working pressure, output, hose length and weight and choose the right model for servicing your machinery.
