A detailed buying guide: how to choose a safety boot class (S1, S3).
Safety boots are high work boots with a steel or composite toe cap that protects the toes from falling objects. Many models also have puncture-proof midsoles and slip- and oil-resistant soles. General guide: how to choose safety footwear and protective rubber boots.
S1P is enough on a dry site, while wet and muddy work needs S3.
A steel toe cap is the toughest, while a composite one is lighter, does not get cold and does not conduct current.
A PU sole is light, while nitrile rubber withstands hot surfaces up to 300 °C and oils.
Try boots on in the evening, when feet are slightly swollen, and with work socks.
Check the label: standard (EN ISO), protection class, size and manufacturing date. Read how to read PPE markings, standards and replacement requirements.
Treat leather boots regularly and replace them if the toe cap has been deformed by a heavy impact.
At ToolsArmenia you can choose safety boots by class, toe cap, sole and size.
