Band Saw Blades: blades for wood and metal

Blade length must exactly match the saw, for example 1425 or 2240 mm.

Narrow blades (6-10 mm) cut curves, wide blades (16-25 mm) cut straight and thick stock.

Choose TPI so that at least 3 teeth are always in the cut.

Choose by material — metal, concrete, stone, tile or wood; a universal consumable always loses to a dedicated one. Read how to choose a consumable for the workpiece material.

Set the guide 5 mm above the workpiece and tension the blade to the maker’s spec. Read essential power tool safety rules.

Release blade tension after use.
